Cape Sounio is the southernmost point of Attica, noted not only for its impeccable beauty, but also for the Temple of Poseidon. The Temple, as we know it today, was constructed between 449 – 440 BC during the Golden Age of Pericles. We will start from Anavyssos Palaia Fokaia port and 15 minutes later we will arrive to our swimming spot which is, of course, the magical bay under the Temple of Poseidon. Its unique architecture combined with the natural beauty of the area, provide the best background for a mini photoshoot (or just selfies!) and endless relaxation, especially during the sunset.
If time allows it and you desire it, we can visit the island of Makronisos on a 20 minutes cruise for a second swim or a walk in the uninhabitted island which used to be a prison and exile place for politicians. During our time in the water we will offer you snorkeling equipment and waterproof cameras so that you can explore the crystal waters and create underwater memories that will last forever. Blue fin tunas were seen many times in those waters. So if you are lucky enough you could get to have a great encounter.
The Sounio half-day cruise is available twice a day from our departure spot. However if you need us to pick you up from another spot, just contact us so that we can arrange that.
